Caro was born into a German family and grew up on Salt Spring Island, a small gem on Canada’s Pacific coast. Surrounded by dense forests, ocean breeze, and shifting light, she developed a deep fascination for nature’s subtle colours and the dance of light and shadow. In her early twenties, she moved to Munich, where she continues to live and paint. Her work captures the gentle transitions of pastel tones, the hidden movement within stillness, and the delicate balance between brightness and calm. Inspired by her island roots, each painting evokes a moment suspended in time, inviting the viewer to pause and find softness in the everyday.
